Mathematics is compulsory for students in Years 7 through to Year 10. It becomes optional when students reach Years 11 and 12.
Students in Years 9 & 10 will be following a Stage 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3 pathway with 5.3 being the hardest course.
Students in Years 11 & 12 can choose between Mathematics Standard 1, Mathematics Standard 2, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2 (in increasing order of difficulty).
